2 Film Directors

Rainer Werner Fassbinder was a very important German film director, he was visionary, a genius, for the new german cinema. He made 41 films, two television film series, 3 short films, four video productions; twenty-four stage plays, four radio plays andthirty-six acting roles in his own and others’ films. He was an appasionated director, actor of film and thearer, composer, editor, producer and cameraman. His films are very varied: dramas, thrillers, romances, comedies, literary adaptations, even science fiction and a Western. I love the picture and camerawork of his films, also the dramatized dialogs. His relationship with teather is present on the 3 stages of his carrer, also his explorations about how deep-rooted prejudices about race, sex, sexual orientations, politics and class are inherent in society, while also tackling his trademark subject of the everyday facism of family life and friendship.
The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant is ones of his films, make in 1972. The action occurs in a ornate apartment (with the  featuring an eclectic soundtrack: The Platters and Verdi). This is Fassbinder's exploration of power dynamics among a group of lesbians... and, by extension, any people. I love this film, even this can be boring, to people, for the time treatment.

Robert Wiene was born on April 24, 1873 in Breslau, Silesia, Germany and he was an important German Film Dierctor too, especially for silent cinema. He had a lot of films of varying styles and genres, even the most knows is "The Gabinete of Dr. Caligari". A fascinate silent horror movie, of the German Expressionism cinema. The film used stylized sets, with abstract, jagged buildings painted on canvas backdrops and flats. To add to this strange style, the actors used an unrealistic technique that exhibited "jerky" and dance-like movements.
